1 Month Pregnant: Hormone Changes and Morning Sickness

When you get pregnant a month, you don't look like a pregnant person. But may have experienced some symptoms, including late rashes, nausea and vomiting, or often called morning sickness.
Fertilization usually occurs around two weeks after the first day of the last menstrual period, around the time the body produces eggs. Until one month of pregnancy, the fetus is still in the form of a group of cells called an embryo, which continues to divide and grow into small babies in the following months.

How does fetal growth occur in 1 month?

At 1 month or 4 weeks of pregnancy, the baby still looks like a small dot 0.2 cm long. Embryonic cells regroup and develop into body parts.

4 weeks pregnant

The embryo begins to develop in the womb. The outermost cells begin to form tissue that feeds the mother's bloodstream. While the inner cells form two, then in three layers, then grow in the baby's body. These layers are:

Endoderm: The innermost layer that forms in the respiratory and digestive systems, such as the lungs, intestines, stomach and bladder.
Mesoderm: an intermediate layer that develops into muscles, bones, heart and blood vessels.
Ectoderm: the outer layer which then becomes the nervous system, brain, tooth enamel, nails, eyepieces and skin.

This week, the embryo attaches to the yolk sac, which provides nutrition for the fetus. In the coming weeks, this function will be replaced by the placenta. These placental cells that grow in the uterine wall provide blood flow which ensures the fetus gets an adequate supply of oxygen.

5 weeks pregnant

At this time, women usually begin to realize that they are pregnant because they are late for their period.
The baby's nervous system and main organs begin to develop.
Void or nerve tube is formed during the development of the ectoderm layer, which will then become the spinal cord and baby's brain. Abnormalities at the end of the neural tube can cause spina bifida or neural tube defects. During this time, abnormalities in the head of the neural tube cause anencephaly or a condition when the skull is not well formed.
The heart and blood vessels begin to form. At that time, blood circulation begins to work. Blood vessels will form and then become the umbilical cord to connect the baby's blood flow to the mother.

6 weeks pregnant

Embryos begin to form crescent moons and have tails that look like tadpoles with thin, translucent skin.
Protrusion forms at the end of the neural tube that will develop in the head and brain.
When the ultrasound is finished, the heart may start to look throbbing.
The legs and arms will begin to appear.
There are small holes on either side of the head that will develop in the ear. There are also areas with thickened surfaces that develop in the eye.
His heart beats 150 beats per minute.

7 weeks pregnant

Embryos reach 10 mm.
The brain has grown so fast that it makes the head swell faster and bigger
The embryo seems to have a wide forehead with eyes and ears that continue to grow.
Cartilage begins to form and begins to develop in the bones of the arms and legs.
Nerve cells begin to multiply and develop in the nervous system.

Changes during one month of pregnancy

At 3 weeks, many don't realize that they are pregnant because they don't have any symptoms. However, some women may experience increased vaginal fluid volume, mild cramps, back pain and headaches.

When you are 7 weeks pregnant, your uterus has reached the size of a lemon. You may feel weak, tired easily, chest and pain enlarged, and more often want to urinate.

About 90% of pregnant women experience nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy, known as morning sickness. These symptoms are a sign that the pregnancy hormone in your body is enough to support pregnancy. Women who experience nausea in early pregnancy have a lower risk of miscarriage than those who do not. Although this does not mean that women who are not nauseated, cannot have a healthy pregnancy.
What must be checked

You may have to try a pregnancy check with a test kit several times. Some women have to wait 2-3 weeks after being late for a month for pregnancy hormone levels to be high enough to be detected. After a positive pregnancy, you and your partner should immediately consult an obstetrician.

Some women may experience symptoms of morning sickness that are more severe than others, so they cannot carry out normal activities. If left untreated, this condition can cause depression and even affect the health of pregnant women and the fetus.

Nausea in early pregnancy can also be very serious, or known as hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). This situation is characterized by frequent vomiting, inability to eat and drink, and weight loss. HG can also affect a baby's health. Therefore, if nausea is felt to be very disturbing, consult your doctor immediately for appropriate treatment.
Things to look for when 1 month pregnant

The following things can be done and should be avoided during one month of pregnancy:

  • If morning sickness isn't too much of a hassle, continuing active exercise can keep your body in shape. Choose the appropriate exercise during pregnancy.
  • Remember that your fetus consumes and is influenced by everything you consume. Avoid cigarettes, caffeine, illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages and some foods such as raw foods that may be harmful to the fetus.
  • Also check all medications you take or consume, without a prescription or prescription.
  • Lifestyle changes, such as avoiding smoking and alcohol, also apply to your partner. Cigarette smoke inhaled by pregnant women can be dangerous for the fetus.
  • Take folic acid supplements for pregnant women, which also contain iron.
  • Changes in the uterus and physical changes in pregnant women can quickly tire the body. Make sure you get enough rest every day.

Although some changes have occurred in your body during one month of pregnancy, many changes have occurred in the womb. By entering pregnancy 2 months later, the volume of blood in the body will increase by 40 to 50%. Meanwhile, members will be increasingly visible in the embryo.
