Symptoms of Sepsis

Symptoms of Sepsis
Sepsis is an uncontrolled body response due to infection. Therefore, the first symptom of sepsis is a symptom of infection. Infection can occur throughout the body; therefore the symptoms vary depending on the part of the body that is infected. Many symptoms can occur during an infection, including:

  • fever
  • Muscle ache
  • transmission
  • cough
  • Diarrhea

Be careful if your infection causes palpitations and shortness of breath, because the infection might cause sepsis. Seek medical attention immediately if you have an infection, especially if both symptoms have appeared above.

Sepsis that is not treated immediately and worsens can lower blood pressure to levels that are harmful to the body. This condition is called shock. In the case of shock, blood circulation throughout the body decreases, causing organ dysfunction and even tissue death.
