The measles virus is contained in millions of drops of water that come out of the nose and mouth when an infected person coughs or sneezes. This virus can last several hours. You can easily become infected with this virus when your hands with the measles virus get closer to your nose or mouth.

To defeat measles, you must get a vaccine or measles vaccine. Measles and rubella vaccines, also known as MR vaccines, are recommended for all children. Measles and rubella are viral diseases that can become serious if not controlled.

Symptoms of measles include colds, sneezing, coughing, red eyes and may be sensitive to light, high fever up to 40 degrees Celsius, and the appearance of grayish white spots on the inner cheeks. A few days later, a brownish-red rash will appear, usually starting in the head or upper neck, before spreading to other parts of the body. The first symptoms of measles will appear about 10 days after infection with this virus by your family or yourself.

After the campaign period, the MR vaccine will be included in routine immunizations for children from the age of 9 months to 18 months and children who attend first grade elementary school. This vaccine is given by injection into the adipose (subcutaneous) arm tissue.

Adults and children who only receive one measles or MMR vaccine can do it at any age. If a 9 month old child has received the measles vaccine, it can be given at the age of 15 months or according to a routine immunization schedule. If the child has received the MMR vaccine, this MR vaccine can also be given.
