Can Hemangioma Cure come alone?

Hemangioma is a skin blood vessel disorder which, in general, will disappear by itself as we get older. Healing of hemangiomas is considered to have disappeared, but in some cases requires medical treatment.

Hemangiomas are not cancerous. This disorder appears at birth or in the first few months. Appears first in the form of reddish marks, often on the face, head, chest or back.

In less than a year, these red marks grow quickly and turn into prominent pieces of skin. After that, the hemangioma will slowly decrease until it disappears.

Half of hemangioma cases recover when a child is five years old and almost all recover when a child is ten years old.

Although the mass disappears and the color fades, sometimes hemangiomas leave little marks, such as different colors or excess skin.

Hemangioma healing

In general, hemangiomas disappear with age and do not require special treatment.

However, in some cases that can interfere with activities or hurt themselves, doctors sometimes prescribe laser treatments or drugs, such as topical medication, alcohol or injection drug use.

If the hemangioma is too large or causes pain, the doctor will recommend surgery or blood vessel connections that feed the blood in the hemangioma.

Points to Consider in Healing Hemangiomas
Healing hemangiomas can indeed occur alone. However, there are a few things to note:

1. The time needed to achieve complete healing of hemangiomas is uncertain

In some cases, hemangiomas recover at the age of five or ten years. However, there is no exact time at which the age of the hemangioma healing process is complete.

2. In some cases, healing hemangiomas still leave scars

Parents certainly hope that hemangioma healing will be completed completely without a trace. But in reality, in some cases, scars from hemangiomas will still persist.

3. The number of hemangiomas more than one does not make children have a more worrisome condition

The number of hemangiomas in a child does not necessarily determine that the disease is of concern, especially when the baby is 6 months old. Children with hemangiomas without other symptoms tend to stay afloat and don't get worse until they recover.

Hemangiomas must be monitored in various ways:

1. If the hemangioma is injured and festering
Because hemangiomas are abnormalities of blood vessels, injured hemangiomas will bleed a lot, become more easily infected and infections will enter the bloodstream more easily.

2. If the hemangioma is large or covers half the surface of the body affected by hemangiomas

Large hemangiomas that cover half the surface, for example half the face, can be made worse. Hemangiomas can irritate the spinal nerves, especially if you are on your back.

If you are unsure of your child's condition with symptoms such as hemangiomas, consult your family doctor.
