Come Detect Melanoma Skin Cancer With Easy ABCDE Examination!
Moles can be interpreted as birthmarks that belong to almost anyone. But all moles only become sweeteners on your skin. Some of them are worth watching because they can become melanoma skin cancer.
Melanoma can cause death if not treated immediately. In order not to end death, identify the symptoms and how to detect them carefully.
What is melanoma skin cancer?
Melanoma is the most malignant type of skin cancer and can spread rapidly. On the skin, the symptoms of this cancer are often moles. Some of them may even appear from moles that are already on your skin.
Most melanoma patches are black or brown. But these spots are also sometimes pink, red, purple, blue, white or the same color as your skin.
Melanoma can develop in any part of the skin. From the neck, chest, back, face and legs.
In men, this type of skin cancer is commonly found in the chest or back area. In women, melanoma appears more often in the legs. Also pay attention to the black mark on your neck or face because this can be a sign of melanoma.
How to detect melanoma skin cancer?
As with cancer in general, the initial phase of melanoma can be difficult to detect. The only way is to compare the shape, condition and size of the mole before and after the suspicion of melanoma.
If you don't remember your skin problem before, you can recognize the signs of melanoma skin cancer from the following symptoms:
- Changes in skin conditions, for example, cause the appearance of new zits or maybe also old moles that change color, shape and size.
- Stains or wounds are now painful, itchy, sensitive to touch or bleeding.
- Stains or bumps with a shiny, smooth and pale surface.
- Skin sores that don't heal.
- Red mass that bleeds or looks inflamed.
- Reddish spots that feel rough, dry or scaly.
In addition to the symptoms above, you can also identify melanoma skin cancer through a simple review called the ABCDE exam.
What is the ABCDE exam?
You can take the ABCDE exam as a guide before consulting a doctor. The ABCDE exam includes:
- Asymmetric (asymmetrical). Unlike normal moles, which are usually round and symmetrical, moles that are a sign of melanoma may have an irregular shape.
- Border (edge): The forehead sign of melanoma does not have smooth borders, can look torn, or has no tight boundaries.
- Color (color). Normal flies are usually black, brown or similar to the color of your skin. But melanoma moles may have irregular color gradations, such as black with shades of gray in shades of white and blue.
- Diameter: Flies with enlarged forehead can be a symptom of skin cancer with melanoma. Likewise, the mole is more than seven millimeters.
- Evolution (change): Changes in the shape of melanomatous forehead flies can occur dramatically in a few weeks or months, and another change is that moles bleed easily.
If you see one or more symptoms during this test, immediately consult a doctor. Melanomas that are detected early are more likely to be cured.
Conversely, melanoma skin cancer, which has entered an advanced phase, can spread to many other parts of the body, resulting in death and even death. So, don't delay your inspection!
