Symptoms of Kidney Stones
Kidney stones, especially smaller ones, will not be detected or cause significant symptoms. Signs of kidney stones can only be felt when the stones are large and stuck in the kidneys, ureters, or infection. This condition causes severe pain called kidney colic. Symptoms of kidney stones that often occur include:
- Pain in the lower back and sometimes feels up to the groin. In men, the pain is also felt up to the testes and scrotum. The pain can last for several minutes or hours. . When kidney stones move elsewhere in the urinary tract, pain can increase.
- Increased frequency of wanting to urinate
- Pain during urination (dysuria)
- Small amounts of urine
- The urine is pink, red or brown
- Nausea and vomiting.
- Feeling restless
- Fever or cold, if an infection occurs.
